Which stations open first?

The stretch is part of Corridor 4 of Phase 2, running 14.64 km from Poonamallee Bypass to Vadapalani, opened on 11 October 2026. The 11 stations in service, per DT Next (10 October 2026): Poonamallee Bypass, Poonamallee Bus Stand, Poonamallee Government Hospital, Karayanchavadi, Kumananchavadi, Kattupakkam, Iyyappanthangal, Thelliyaragaram, Porur Bypass, Porur Junction and Vadapalani. Six stations are reported to be skipped at first while work continues: Alapakkam, Karambakkam, Valasaravakkam, Alwarthirunagar, Saligramam and Avichi School. Valasaravakkam: a station that waits

Valasaravakkam's station is among the six reported to be skipped at opening, so homes here gain later than those near Porur or Iyyappanthangal.

These pockets are linked to the Porur belt by road rather than sitting on the stretch itself. They hold the lowest entry prices in this list.

How to use a metro line when you buy

  • Walk it yourself. Measure the real route from the project gate to the station entrance; we have not, so the groupings above are by locality only.
  • Check which station is actually open. A home near Valasaravakkam waits longer than one near Porur Junction.
  • Do not pay for the label. The earlier article notes Knight Frank recorded flat 12-month prices in Porur in its H1 2026 report, even as the line neared completion.
