Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Poonamallee Bypass–Vadapalani stretch on 11 October 2026 (Deccan Herald). Iyyappanthangal is one of the 11 stations in service, between Kattupakkam and Thelliyaragaram. From 12 October trains run 7 am to 9 pm, every 10 minutes at weekday peaks and 15 minutes otherwise; the fare from Poonamallee Bypass to Iyyappanthangal is ₹30 and the full line ₹40 (DT Next). Hospitals, schools and the bus terminus

Wikipedia names Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Hospital as one of the city's major hospitals in the area, along with Aravind Eye Hospital and ACS Medical College and Hospitals, and schools including The Pupil, Sri Chaitanya School, Maharishi Vidya Mandir and St. John's Matriculation. The Iyyappanthangal bus terminus on Mount–Poonamallee Road serves routes to Koyambedu, Tambaram, T Nagar and Parry's Corner. Confirm school boards and admissions directly.

Waterlogging and supply

Wikipedia records that the bus terminus was raised 1.5 feet above Mount–Poonamallee Road during its renovation to prevent monsoon waterlogging. After Cyclone Michaung, DT Next (7 December 2023) named nearby Kundrathur and Maduravoyal among areas where residents were marooned. Citizen Matters (16 December 2025) reports recurring inundation in parts of the Porur belt west of Porur Lake, linked to drainage gaps. Approvals: confirm the local body

• Wikipedia now lists Iyyappanthangal under Mangadu Municipality in Kanchipuram district; older descriptions place it under a village panchayat in the Kundrathur union. Confirm which authority approved the specific plan, CMDA or DTCP.
• TNRERA registration and the registered completion date on rera.tn.gov.in; for Prestige Bella Vista, the completion certificate.
