Our Chennai catalogue has 35 projects that start below ₹1 crore in localities on the three Phase 2 corridors: 5 on the Poonamallee–Porur stretch, 14 on the Red Line (Madhavaram, Manapakkam, Kovilambakkam, Medavakkam, Perumbakkam) and 16 on the OMR section of the Purple Line. Entry prices run from about ₹37 lakh to ₹98 lakh, typically for the smallest 2 BHK.

Updated 11 October 2026, the day the Poonamallee–Vadapalani stretch was reported for inauguration. The figures are Property Point listing data (developer information, indicative, October 2026). 'Starts under ₹1 crore' means the lowest listed price; larger units in the same project often cost more, and prices change with the developer's price sheet.

An important caveat on distance

We group projects by the locality in their listing, not by measured walking distance to a station. A project listed in Medavakkam may be 300 metres or 3 km from a Medavakkam station. Before you shortlist, walk the route from the project gate to the station entrance and check which station is actually open.

Which lines open when?

Corridor 4: Poonamallee, Kattupakkam, Iyyappanthangal, Porur

The only line with stations reported open, so these carry the nearest-term metro benefit.   • Padur, Kelambakkam and Thalambur, which lie beyond the Purple Line's SIPCOT terminus.
  • Under-construction listings whose possession date has already passed by a wide margin, or which show no price.
  • Mogappair, Avadi and Ambattur, which are not on the three Phase 2 corridors.

How to choose between them

  • Ready or nearly ready, on an open line: TVS Emerald Green Enclave and Prestige Bella Vista on Corridor 4.
  • Ready now, metro later: Casagrand Castle and Casagrand FirstCity on the Red Line, and Ceebros Boulevard, Casagrand Savoye, Radiance Sapphire and Adroit Fortune on OMR. You live in the home while the line is built.
  • Under construction, timed with the metro: a 2027 or 2028 possession in Medavakkam, Kovilambakkam or Navalur roughly coincides with the reported line dates, but both can slip.
