Updated 23 October 2026. We re-read the NammaWard report of the Gazette and the Kanaka line's public route details. This is a parcel-level notice, not a blanket freeze on every property in these villages; this guide explains how to tell the difference.
What did the 19 October Gazette notify?
- Notification No. CI 92 SPQ 2026, issued under Section 3(1) of the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Act, 1966, declares the scheduled properties an industrial area for the rail project (NammaWard, 23 October 2026).
- It names K-RIDE (Rail Infrastructure Development Company (Karnataka) Limited) and Corridor-04, with work listed as electrical utility work, alignment and station entry and exit construction (NammaWard).
- A Section 28(1) notice in the same Gazette names the recorded owner and occupier of each parcel, says the land is not to be alienated without permission and that no construction may happen after publication, and calls for objections (NammaWard).
- An earlier, separate Corridor-4 notice (Gazette 912) covered land in K.R. Puram (NammaWard).
Which villages and how much land?
Village totals from the schedule, as reported by NammaWard (23 October 2026):
- Horamavu Agara: 2,932.28 sq m
- Doddakannalli: 2,596.80 sq m
- Doddanekundi: 2,493.33 sq m
- Srirampura (Yelahanka hobli): 342.85 sq m
- Horamavu: 182.04 sq m
- Kodathi: 154.90 sq m
- Hadosiddapura: 151.22 sq m
- Gottamaranahalli (Sarjapura hobli, Anekal taluk): 110.39 sq m
- Total: 8,963.81 sq m, or about 2.2 acres (our conversion).
Where does the Kanaka line run?
The Kanaka line runs from Heelalige near Chandapura to Rajanukunte beyond Yelahanka. Its station list includes Carmelaram, Bellandur Road, Marathahalli, Doddanekundi, Kaggadasapura, Benniganahalli, Channasandra, Horamavu, Hennur, Thanisandra, Yelahanka and Rajanukunte (Wikipedia, Kanaka line, accessed 23 October 2026). Wikipedia's figures for length and opening date conflict with each other, so we do not quote them. For the status of all four lines, see Bangalore Suburban Rail Stations: All 4 Lines, 2026 Status.
The parcels in this notice are small. The schedule describes them as vacant land, roads, compound walls, residences and other structures (NammaWard). That fits strips for alignment, utilities and station access rather than large blocks.
I own or am buying near Horamavu or Doddanekundi. Am I affected?
Only if your exact parcel is in the schedule. NammaWard cautions that the schedule is parcel-specific, and that being in a named village or even a named survey number does not mean a property is included (23 October 2026).
- Get the survey number, hissa and extent from the sale deed, RTC and survey sketch.
- Match them against the Gazette schedule row by row. Note the property identifiers listed.
- If there is any match or near match, get written clarification from the K-RIDE or KIADB land acquisition office before paying an advance.
- If you are an affected owner, file objections within the period printed in the notice. Check the exact deadline on the printed notice, as NammaWard did not state it.
- For flats in RERA-registered projects, ask the developer whether any part of the land or approach road appears in the schedule, and get the answer in writing.
What it means for prices along the line
Land notices are a sign that a rail project is moving from plans to ground. They do not set an opening date. Buyers should value homes near future Kanaka stations on today's road access and commute, and treat the rail link as an upside with an uncertain date. Station-side plots also carry the risk of being in a schedule, which is why the parcel check matters more than the headline.

Listed projects in the Hennur, Thanisandra and Rajanukunte stretch, with prices on Property Point's listings (developer information, October 2026). We have no indication that any of these is in the 19 October schedule; check as above.
