Below are the station lists for all four lines, the progress reported between June and October 2026, and the homes market around the stations. For the Mallige line's contract history and the areas it serves, see K-RIDE Suburban Rail and the Mallige Line: Status in 2026 and the Areas It Would Serve. This page covers the whole network.
The four suburban rail lines at a glance

Sampige and Parijaata line stations (Corridors 1 and 3)
- Sampige: KSR Bengaluru, Srirampura, Malleshwaram, Yeshwanthpur, Muthyalanagar, Lottegollahalli, Kodigehalli, Judicial Layout, Yelahanka, NITTE Meenakshi, Bettahalasuru, Doddajala, Airport Trumpet, Airport Halt, Devanahalli, with an airport branch to Airport City and KIA. Bangalore suburban rail latest progress (June to October 2026)
- Civil contracts: two Mallige packages have been awarded. The third, a 7.795 km elevated stretch from Benniganahalli to Shettihalli with a 1.11 km double-decker, was re-floated after a single bid (Deccan Herald, 3 August 2026).
- Kanaka line: the first T-girder was launched at Huskur station on 31 July 2026. Tenders for 22.54 km (Heelalige to Bellandur and Benniganahalli to Jakkur) were under evaluation, and a 24.34 km section was yet to be tendered.
- Stations: contracts awarded for 12 stations on the Mallige line and 18 on the Kanaka line.
- Trains: K-RIDE and the Integral Coach Factory signed an MoU on 1 September 2026 for 51 three-car trains for the Mallige and Kanaka lines. The first prototype is due in November 2027, then three trains a month. Three-car trains are planned at a five-minute peak frequency at launch, each with a crush load of 1,000.
- Power: on 1 October 2026 K-RIDE invited global bids for a ₹986 crore traction and power supply package for Corridors 2 and 4 and the Soladevanahalli depot.
- Depot: a ₹200.03 crore tender for the Soladevanahalli depot was floated on 12 June 2026, with a 24-month deadline.
- Sampige line tenders: planned between November 2026 and February 2027, once 90% of the land is acquired.
- Conflicting date: Railway Gazette reported in June 2026 a March 2027 opening for a first Chikkabanavara to Yeshwanthpur stage. That does not fit the prototype train arriving in November 2027, so we rely on the December 2028 target.
How is suburban rail different from Namma Metro?
- Track and power: broad gauge with 25 kV overhead traction, like Indian Railways, rather than the metro's own system.
- Trains: stainless steel coaches in three-, six- and nine-coach sets, with wall-side bench seating like the metro. Luggage racks and cycle stands are being considered. All 306 coaches for the network are to come from the Integral Coach Factory, Chennai.
- Cost sharing: the trains for the first two lines cost ₹4,270.30 crore, shared equally by the state and the railways, according to Deccan Herald in June 2026.
- Speed and spacing: a maximum speed of 90 km/h, with stations further apart than metro stops, so it suits longer commutes from the edge of the city.
- Who it serves: the periphery, such as Chikkabanavara, Rajanukunte, Heelalige and Devanahalli, where metro lines do not reach.
Homes near suburban rail stations: asking prices
Square Yards asking prices for apartments (new and resale together), June 2026 quarter unless marked, read on 17 October 2026. With opening years away, these prices reflect today's roads and metro, not the suburban line.
- Mallige line: Banaswadi about ₹7,750 per sq ft; Nagawara about ₹11,600; Hebbal about ₹17,100; Yeshwanthpur about ₹12,900; Jalahalli about ₹8,750. See Banaswadi, Bengaluru: Buyer's Guide 2026 — Prices, Metro, Projects and Risks and Jalahalli, Bengaluru: Buyer's Guide 2026 — Prices, Metro, Projects and Risks.
- Kanaka line: Bommasandra about ₹8,350; Marathahalli about ₹15,300; Doddanekundi about ₹13,000; Horamavu about ₹8,750; Hennur Road about ₹12,600; Thanisandra about ₹11,200; Jakkur about ₹13,000; Yelahanka about ₹10,100.
- Parijaata line: Kengeri about ₹7,650; KR Puram about ₹11,450; Whitefield about ₹14,500.
- Sampige line: Malleshwaram about ₹13,050 (Dec 2025 figure); Yelahanka about ₹10,100; Devanahalli about ₹9,600.
- Projects near Mallige and Parijaata stations include Brigade Parkside North Yeshwanthpur, Casagrand Keatsway Gedalahalli Near Nagavara Junction and Brigade Panorama Kengeri. Check walking distance to the planned station, not just the locality name.
Worked example: the Mallige line price gap
Yeshwanthpur and Jalahalli are neighbouring Mallige stations. Take a 1,100 sq ft flat at each area's asking average.
- Yeshwanthpur: 1,100 × ₹12,900 = ₹1,41,90,000, about ₹1.42 crore.
- Jalahalli: 1,100 × ₹8,750 = ₹96,25,000, about ₹96 lakh.
- Difference: about ₹45.6 lakh. Yeshwanthpur already has the Green Line and a major railway station; Jalahalli's suburban station is marked future. The suburban line alone does not close that gap.
Should you buy near a planned suburban rail station?
- Treat suburban rail as a 2029-and-later benefit at best. The line with the most progress targets December 2028, and trains arrive from November 2027.
- Prefer stations that sit next to metro stations already open or due soon, such as Yeshwanthpur, Benniganahalli, Nagawara, Hebbal and KR Puram.
- Avoid paying for stations marked future or proposed. They may open later than the line, or not at all.
- Ask which package covers your station and whether it has been awarded. A re-floated package is a later date.
- Check RERA, khata and plan approvals for the project. Read The 9-Point RERA Checklist Every Buyer Should Run.
