Updated 26 October 2026. This guide covers the hospital and the other public works that shape daily life in the Dwarka Expressway sectors: service roads, the Gurugram metro spur, the Sector 56-Pachgaon line and Global City links.

When will the Sector 102A hospital open?

Our reading: once an operator is chosen, it still needs staff, equipment and approvals, so buyers should not count on full hospital services in 2026. Ask for an updated date after the 30 October bid opening.

  • Capacity: 883-bed teaching hospital and 150-seat medical college (The Tribune, 18 October 2026).
  • Construction deadline: extended to 31 December 2026 (The Tribune).
  • Operations: to be run under a public-private partnership; the tender lists 30 October 2026 as the bid-opening date (The Tribune).
  • Opening date: none set. The Tribune notes that finishing construction will not by itself start patient services.
  • Residents' request: the Dwarka Expressway Gurugram Development Association (DXP-GDA) wrote to minister Aarti Singh Rao, copying the Chief Minister and GMDA's CEO, seeking a high-level review, a time-bound roadmap and periodic progress reports (The Tribune).

Sheetla Mata Devi Medical College: location, cost and funding

What the ranking pages lack: the older pages that rank for this hospital stop at 2017-2024 targets, and none mention the October 2026 PPP operator tender, the 31 December 2026 deadline or the residents' association's request. This guide puts the history and the current status together.

  • Location: Sector 102, near Kherki Majra, on a site of about 40 acres (Medical Dialogues, 30 July 2017); The Tribune's October 2026 report places it in Sector 102A.
  • Cost: about ₹541 crore for the building, with seven floors including the ground floor (Social News XYZ, IANS, 22 October 2024).
  • Funding share as reported in 2024: GMDA 50%, Municipal Corporation of Gurugram 45%, Shri Sheetla Mata shrine 5% (Social News XYZ, IANS).
  • Plan history: announced in 2017 as a 150-seat MBBS college with a 750-bed hospital, to be run by a trust of the shrine board, GMDA and MCG (Medical Dialogues, 30 July 2017); the hospital is now described as 883 beds (The Tribune, 18 October 2026).
  • Timeline history: in October 2024 GMDA's then CEO said structural work was almost complete and gave 30 April 2025 for completion (Social News XYZ, IANS); the current construction deadline is 31 December 2026 (The Tribune, 18 October 2026).

Dwarka Expressway service roads: status

GMDA has been building 27 km of two-lane, 7.5-metre service roads along both sides of the expressway at a cost of ₹99 crore; work began in March 2024, was 70% complete in June 2026 and was targeted for September 2026, with land still to be acquired at some locations (Swarajya, 6 June 2026). We found no report confirming completion by the September target. Before buying, drive the service road from your sector to the nearest expressway entry and note any unfinished stretch.

Metro for Dwarka Expressway: what is planned

  • Millennium City Centre-Cyber City corridor: the civil contract covers a 1.85 km spur from Basai village to Dwarka Expressway, with a 30-month completion period from award (Constrofacilitator, 4 August 2025).
  • Sector 56-Pachgaon line: a 35.25 km elevated corridor with 28 stations, in the final stages of approval, per the HMRTC's 66th board meeting (Swarajya, 9 October 2026). Media reports list stations near Kherki Daula, Sector 36A, Global City and Sectors 84, 85, 88, 89, 86, 90 and 91 (News24, 17 December 2024; station names may change). Global City: roads and timeline

HSIIDC's roughly 1,000-acre Global City in Sectors 36, 36B, 37, 37A and 37B along the expressway is planned with a grade-separated interchange and underground link to Dwarka Expressway and a new arterial road near Narsinghpur to NH-48; Phase 1 is targeted for the end of 2026, with full build-out envisioned through 2035 (The Tribune, 31 July 2026). For buyers in nearby sectors, Global City is a source of jobs and traffic over the next decade.

Other civic works near Dwarka Expressway this month

GMDA closed a stretch of Old Delhi Road from 23 to 27 October 2026 to build a precast culvert and drain, and advised commuters to use alternate routes (The Tribune, October 2026). Residents of Garhi Harsaru and Basai, both close to the expressway, were among those reporting long power cuts during the 22-23 October power strike (The Tribune, 23 October 2026). Neither is a structural issue for the corridor, but both are reminders that drainage and power resilience in the older villages around the new sectors still lag the new towers.

The pattern across these works is consistent: the expressway itself is complete, while the public layer around it, hospital, service roads, metro and drainage, is still being built. Buyers moving in during 2026-27 should plan for that gap rather than assume it closes on a published deadline.
