Updated 30 October 2026. Times below are for Bengaluru. They are for the puja, so ask your family priest if you want a specific time for a property purchase.

What are the Dhanteras 2026 timings in Bengaluru?

  • Puja muhurat: 6:25 PM to 8:20 PM on 6 November.
  • Pradosh Kaal: 5:52 PM to 8:20 PM on 6 November.
  • Trayodashi tithi: 10:30 AM on 6 November to 10:47 AM on 7 November.

Can you book a home on Dhanteras and register it later?

Yes. Paying a booking amount and registering the sale are separate steps. Registration needs the agreement, your loan and the stamp duty to be ready, and that rarely happens in a day. Check the sub-registrar office timings before planning anything on the day itself, since 7 and 8 November fall on a weekend.

Under Section 13 of RERA, a promoter cannot take more than 10% of the cost before a written, registered agreement for sale. On a ₹2 Cr home that limit is ₹20 lakh, by our arithmetic.

What should you finish before Dhanteras?

  • Shortlist: visit the site this weekend so the day is not your first look.
  • RERA: match the project and promoter on the Karnataka RERA website.
  • Loan: get an in-principle sanction. The RBI raised the repo rate to 5.50% on 7 October, so use today's rate, not last year's.
  • All-in cost: add about 7.6% for stamp duty and registration on a home above ₹45 lakh, plus GST at 5% on an under-construction home if it is charged on top.
  • Offer in writing: get the price sheet, the plan and the last date of the offer.

Which Dhanteras home offers are available in Bangalore?

We list only offers we could confirm from a dated source. Assetz Property Group has a Diwali campaign across seven Bengaluru projects from ₹1.20 Cr*, and the full list is here: Diwali 2026 Property Offers in Bangalore: Confirmed List

Do not let a date rush the decision. An offer that is good on 6 November should still look good after you have read the agreement.
