What is Super Built-up Area?

By Property Point Advisory·Updated September 2026

In short

Super built-up area is carpet area plus wall thickness plus your proportionate share of common areas (lobby, stairs, clubhouse). It's the 'loaded' number builders historically quoted; RERA now requires carpet-area pricing.

Good to know

Loading = (super built-up − carpet) ÷ carpet. Ask for it explicitly — 30% loading means you pay for 1,300 sqft to live in 1,000.
